It must have been different in more densely populated areas. In my area you couldn't tell any difference. People were definitely not staying inside.

they blocked off the beach for almost 2 years after a surge of tourists wanted to go to the beach during spring break.

not alot of fun for me since the only activity i went to the beach was for an hour long dog walk.

if anyone asks why it was to prevent a massive surge of infections because the covid spread so bad throughout the state and didn't want to overwhelm the hospitals.
