We've got 3 rescue's at home and I'd be broken if anything happened to any of them. The last time I cried was when our first cat died suddenly out of nowhere when we'd just moved house. Lost elderly relatives and friends but the cat going was the only one that made me ugly cry.

We'd been in our first house for less than 48 hours and it was the first time he came downstairs on his own. He sat on my wives knee purring away and the next thing he's gone. Vet reckoned some sort of heart issue or an brain aneurism. He was only 4 ffs. So I get how devastating it can be.

I know it's implied but just thought I'd be the one to ask as no one else has. Assuming the cat didn't make it? If so I'm so sorry. At least with traffic accidents it's usually an instant death so shitty as it is there's a small solace in that and at least you know what happened. I know you don't want to hear it now but there are plenty of rescue cats out there who need a good home and hopefully in the near future you'll be in the right mindset to look after another little bundle of joy. Sounds like you still have a lot of love to give.
