I don't care which of the companies doing this ends up succeeding, I'm not going to root for his version to fail just because he's a piece of shit. This is WAY too important of tech, the implications are WAY too big. Hell, I want every company making this type of tech to succeed, I want multiple major breakthroughs all across the industry. It's about the greater good not fuck Elon.

I get what you're saying, but consider that Elon would find a way to take a potential good and fuck people over with it via corpo bullshit. Insulin was supposed to be, and easily could have been, extremely cheap. But corpos got the patent, and for a lot of people it's a fucking paycheck taken just to keep being alive.
