For me it isn't one single ingredient but the group as a whole that is delicious on a burger. Onions, pickles, lettuce, and tomato.

If forced to choose I actually regularly eat pickles plain and love them so I'd say pickles was a favorite. But I sure do love a garden fresh slice of tomato (not fast food tomatoes but actual garden tomatoes). I also absolutely love onions but typically don't eat them by themselves but I definitely use them in a number of dishes. Both cooked and raw. Some diced white onions on a brat is outstanding.
