What's your favorite song? Any particular reason?
To be completely honest, I don't know if I can point to any one song being my absolute favorite. I do have songs that I will always love and come back to over the years, but I don't always find myself listening to them on a even a semi-regular basis; the desire to actively listen to them comes and go.

The easier question to answer is more in the direction of a favorite album, >.< . I do have a very clear favorite in that department: Yellow & Green, by Baroness. I don't always have songs from it in my rotation, but the songs as a collective hold a very special place in my heart. Baroness is my favorite band, and even though I love their first two albums (Red and Blue), the release of Y&G is when I can point to them actually BECOMING my favorite band. I followed the pre-release materials with a lot of anxiety because I was worried that they were going to change their sound too much for me to actually like it, but... they didn't. It challenged me, but across the two discs (clocking at around an hour and ten minutes), it also fascinated me and moved me. Back around that point (summer 2012) was when my depression was still in the stage of defining my life, and the album's more depressing mood became almost a soundtrack to my life in some ways. It was almost comforting, in a weird way, and has had a place in my heart ever since.

I still have quite a way to go, but even as I start to break away from the sentiment I had back then, it'll still carry on with me because of it always being something to lean on.
