Topic	Do people still like real time strategy games? Were they done a while ago?

Dune 2000, several Command & Conquer games, StarCraft 1, Warcraft 3, Emperor: Battle for Dune, Age of Empire 2, etc. It's sad the state of RTS nowadays. I never got really good at this genre, nor do I play competitively like some players do, but I always revisited the genre and look for new RTS games now and then. I just find building up your base and army, and coming up with a strategy to attack the enemy's base while defending your own in campaign mode to be pretty fun. DarkAssassin89 posted... In trying to find info about the C&C game I read about (was it literally just a dream?), I did find they are making a spiritual successor called Tempest Rising that got favorable reviews during play testing.
