The reason why it is stressing is because she is dealing with a lot in life, she has three kids she is trying to pay attention too, bagging her stuff and this dude is just speed scanning tossing shit at here as her food items she is paying for are dropping to the ground. It wasn't just soek cans, but that was the last item that fell that broke her as she was being pressed to bag faster, feeling overwhelmed and worthless.

Think of it like a nightmare where your trying to bag shit and the nightmare cashier is just inconstantly constantly tossing shit at you as the stuff on the floor just piles higher and higher as you drown in your own groceries.

Except she was drowning in the stress of life and this dude shot her anxiety through the roof. She was probably holding on just by a thread anyways. I could definitely see something like this causing a huge anxiety and panic attack.
