One of the great founders of modern horror. More interesting than Mary Shelly or Bram Stoker, slashers are boring to me, and the rest of horror usually falls under the category of supernatural/religious (demons, possessions/etc). A lot of the other stuff is just unnecessary jump scares to pretend normal stuff is creepy (compared to Smile where the jump scares were completely on point). Lovecrafts own material wasnt always good (see Re-Animator), but it was always unsettling, and that fits the topic. Ive never read any of his work though, the blatant bigotry would probably get to me.

I have not! Thank you for the recommendation. I honestly didnt even start watching horror until last year or maybe the year before. Before I was on my current medication, the horror got in my head and would take over my idle mind when trying to rest for years.

Very unfortunate cat name though

Some say that his voice can only be heard by cats, and that he has two sets of knees... all we know is, he's called the Stig.
