You can bake a potato in the microwave.

Give the potato a good scrub, then poke a bunch of holes in it to release steam and keep it from exploding. Nuke it on high for 4-5 minutes, flip it over, and nuke again for another 4-5.

Cut a slit in the top of the potato about a half inch from each end and about halfway down through the potato, then using a towel or oven mitts, squeeze the potato from the ends to give it that restaurant-style appearance.

Then top it with whatever strikes your fancy. I like butter, sel gris (a type of sea salt), grated cheese, real bacon bits, chopped green onions, and sour cream.
