They would be considered null votes, as you have to write a a) registered write-in candidates name or b) a distinct name (depending on the state) to count. The presidential election would thereby have no valid votes cast, which means that electors would not have been chosen, which in turn would lead to a contingent election in the House for President and Senate for Vice President. That's correct. It's similar to hypothetical scenarios wherein massive amounts of people write in for someone that isn't eligible. Back when Trump appearing on ballots was in question, some figured it wouldn't matter because people would just write in votes for him. If he was deemed ineligible, all the write-in votes in the world wouldn't matter. You can't elect someone ineligible. Likewise, you can't elect my son via write-in votes, you can't elect Santa Claus, and you can't elect someone that isn't native-born, no matter how many people try. --- I'm not here for friends.
