We had a cheeky little riot in my city yesterday.

A bunch of fat wastrels with two teeth and two GCSEs between them setting fire to ShoeZone and robbing Lush to get rid of the "foreigners and Muslims" because a British-born Christian choir-boy committed a horrible crime on the other side of the country.

While the riot was going on, about a five minute walk away on just the other side of the city there was an open air festival going on that celebrated unity, and that was attended by far, far more people than were booting off.

The general response from absolutely everyone to what was going on wasn't "well these people have a point", or "well the immigrants do need to go", or "these brave protestors are true patriots!" It was "These people are fucking idiots who don't speak for this city." There was a massive outpouring of people offering to drive strangers wherever they needed to go to get out of the city after buses and trains were cancelled. This morning people from all races, backgrounds and ages across the city came out together to volunteer to work together to tidy up the mess that the rioters caused. And flowers were laid outside of the hotel where a lot of immigrants are currently housed to make sure they felt welcomed and safe.

It's not a race war. It's a small bunch of fuckwits making a loud noise and everyone else telling them that they should fuck off.
