I emphasize efficiency and having rules in place to attain certified results in a timely fashion. Having the voters sit around for 14 days not knowing who the Election winner will creates tension on both sides that will cause harm to citizens.

Throwing out a citizens vote casted on time following all legal procedures causes harm to that citizen.

We waited a long time in 2000 and many other years, sometimes that happens when things are close. Waiting 14 days after a 18 month election campaign is not too long of a wait as long as both candidates project calm. One candidate screamed lies that they were trying to steal the election. He could and would have done that if the results were known immediately.
