About an hour from both. And I haven't been to the ocean in probably 10 years. Growing up we'd go multiple times every summer, and now I just don't get the appeal. Way too many people. You have all the people from Baltimore, DC, Virginia, etc. making route 50 a living hell of a traffic jam for months out of the year.
