Yeah, Jesus's death definitely was not this. They forced him to carry his cross to the hill while flogging him, then they hammer nails through his wrists and ankles. Do note that when Jesus was initially hoisted on the cross, he and the other two condemned were in decent enough shape to hold a conversation. Then after Jesus bakes in the sun for awhile and one of the female NPCs gives Jesus some vinegar to sip from a sea sponge (or was it a rag?), a Roman soldier stabs him in the liver.
