Anyways, horny crap is the single most devastating thing to anime and all problems stem from it (barring development jank).

Additionally it makes at the absent of public display of affection to be odd. Especially if it's an anime and you're not having real people displaying onscreen affection.

And besides the double standard (i.e. You can have Roshi perving over even teenage girls, but Gohan and Videl having a consensual kiss is too much), well often for comedy you have the girl getting too mushy and the guy (main character or no) looks less like he's trying to show restraint, but more that he doesn't favor getting affectionate with his love.

Odd as you know anime and manga don't have an issue letting characters be flawed, but again guy acts disguisted 100% at returning his gal's affection just cause his non-existing boy scout image is on the line.
