I know its a common thing for people to say who? and I realize gamefaqs while skewing older is often much younger than you expect so I can see someone not legitimately knowing who she is in this day and age and that bums me out as a music lover. But it happens to me when people list newer artists since I basically stopped listening to people after 2000.

Not only is she one of the best singers of all time and she spans multiple genres she was an absolute queen of the 70s. And even besides this its mind blowing that she told her backing band they should be doing their own thing and they did, and became one of the most successful bands of all time. I mean its seriously crazy The Eagles were just her backing band at one point.
