I thought you were saying the exception was going to war against a fascist/genocidal country that you're not involved with (i.e. world police Bush Doctrine). Defending yourself against aggression is obviously justified. And like I said, even some amount of escalation can be justified when you're deeply oppressed (which def doesnt apply to the US).
