Notable in that previously Maine said they'd do the same thing if Nebraska pulled that shit to cancel them out... but because Maine's constitution states new laws take 80 days to take effect they would be unable to retaliate this cycle. If, and it's a big if, Nebraska succeeded it would mean the "Blue Wall" of MI+WI+PA would no longer be enough for Harris. Right now that would get her to exactly 270. If Nebraska changes to WTA it would be 269 instead which would send it to the House and all but ensure a Trump win so Harris would need another swing state on top of those. The efforts stalled out last time because some of the NE GOP didn't want to go forward with it and there's no reason to think that's changed... yet. --- May you find your book in this place.
