But there is no question that running (or other high intensity cardio) sheds a ton of calories if you do at least 30 minutes. Also, lifting helps transform the body and muscle burns calories. [LFAQs-redacted-quote] I do know that it isn't perfect at all. But yet they still recommend a 500 calorie deficit a day if pushing for losing a pound a week or a 1000 calorie deficit a day if pushing for 2 a week. So, math...
