I remember the days before malware ruined free stuff.

Back in the day I took pride in my ability to set up a computer for zero dollars beyond the hardware and O/S. If you gave me a computer with nothing but the latest version of Windows installed, an internet connection, and a day, I could return you a computer with all the essentials (office suite, antivirus, etc.) and a fair number of cool things installed, all for free, with no piracy involved.

I mean yeah first computer I had access to was my grandads. It didn't even have windows on it. It was as basic as it got. Just MS DOS. He made his own OS.

It was pretty simple it was just a list you scrolled down and clicked on what you wanted. Some things required a password which as a young child I cracked because I was unfamiliar with what a password was his dumbass made it my name.

Had video games though. Idk where he got them from but they where knock offs of older big games. Like I played one a lot called Dave's Kong. Was like donkey Kong but you didn't simply have to get to the top you had to get back down after saving the girl and of course it was harder getting back down.
