People asked me to "look it up" that there were reports of people eating pets in Springfield. Well, just comments on a video, not said to me directly.

So, I did. I looked it up and found out that several months before this stuff with Springfield a US citizen from Canton, Ohio(not particularly close to Springfield) was caught by police and "didn't know" if she ate a pet. The details aren't really important(she was stopped on suspicion of animal abuse or something like it) other than Canton is not near Springfield, and this was an American citizen, not a Haitian immigrant.

This is why instead of telling people to look it up, or do your own research you show your sources and educate people directly, if you are confident you know the truth. Why wouldn't you want somebody to directly see what you're seeing?

Which leads me in to, even if the only reason you'd say "do your own research" is because you're arguing with somebody who needs their hands held every step of the way, like physically dipped into the water to know it's wet, just don't. Because trolls who simply want to muddy the waters(people saying there ARE credible stories of Haitians eating pets) use the same phrase.
