Musk has been promising full self-driving is less than a year away since like 2015. then he says owners of teslas will make money from their car by turning it into a robotaxi. Now hes throwing an event tomorrow night unveiling teslas: robotaxis. Why does he need to unveil a robotaxi if his cars he already sold were going to be the robo taxis. musk famously opted for a camera only approach to Self-driving cars forgoing additional sensors like lidar.
