I feel like saying that saying youd be fine without work because you could just work isnt really in the spirit of it.

Not in the slightest.

Anything 'can' be work. The key is things you HAVE TO do, vs things you WANT TO do.

If I didn't have to work, I could finally have time to write the novel I've wanted to write for years. Why do I want to write it? Because it would be fun, fulfilling, an accomplishment I could be proud of... but "writing" is still work, actually very hard work.

I could take dance lessons. Dancing is still "work" I have to use time and energy to do it.

Volunteer work is something you do for self satisfaction not because you "have to"

Right now I give up 8 hours of my life to do work that I do not enjoy for the benefit of a cause I do not believe in, because I HAVE TO.

If I didn't HAVE TO do that, I would not be bored, I could find a better use of my time, either for myself or for others.
