Being Corrupted into a Being Raid Boss

Kael'thas Sunstrider: The single most ruined character in all of Warcraft, and that's not a small feat. Many characters got corrupted into being raid bosses, but none of them got as humiliating and undignified an ending as this guy right here. In WC3, Kael is 100% sympathetic, likable, and reasonable, and you are rooting for him the entire time. He's possibly the single most reasonable person in all of TFT! It's either him or Malfurion. And then WoW rolls around, and people are like "Man, I wonder what the Blood Elves are up to, I wonder what happened to Illidan, Vashj, and Kael." Well, two years after the game came out, we finally found out the answer to that: Kael got really high on demon juice, then tried to blow up the world, and then you put him down like a dog. It's baffling how Kael has to be killed because he fell to demonic corruption, but Sylvanas, the most evil person ever, who is way, way less sympathetic than Kael, gets to live. Just insane. And for what? So that this no-name other Blood Elf can be the new leader, and do nothing for all of WoW? There is surely no one in charge of making sure WoW's story functions as a story.
