I'm sorry, I don't understand why you're saying it's "nothing like the other acts" in terms of map design and enemies? I'm gonna have to ask you to expand on that, because this just looks like D2's midgame to me.

Well, lessee. First of all, the map tiles aren't square. That's kinda huge on its own. Most of them are long snaky affairs following a river with occasional paths cut through the jungle.

Everything is stupidly dark. Even in a game with gothic themes, Act III is a massive contrast from the desert in 2 and I would even say hell in 4. The overworld is dark and uninviting, and then you get into the side dungeons, some of which are basically unnavigable.

The enemies are obnoxious, especially all the little pygmy (wow, Gamefaqs, really gonna censor that?)s that are impossible to click on and constantly getting resurrected.

The quests are especially irrelevant, up until we have to collect the three Macguffins to put in the horadric cube so we can get to the final area. There aren't even good quest rewards, like getting a talent point or anything. I guess you do get access to the best mercenaries, for whatever that's worth.

The jungle takes a break for us to walk through a city, at which point you just have a few connected city tiles with an adjoining sewer area underneath. Both of these areas are wide-open (which is not what you'd expect from a sewer, especially after seeing one in Lut Gholein.)

And then the act concludes by going across a narrow bridge into the final area where you fight the fallen paladin council, with enemies I always found really annoying to fight, before heading inside to deal with Mephisto.

There are some interesting aspects to Act III, but mostly it's the abscess you have to cross to go from 2 to 4.

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out what to nominate that isn't being semi-repetitive. I don't know Starcraft. You don't know Hearthstone. And raiding was an integral part of my WoW experience, which you barely did. I'm perfectly happy to keep dropping bits of WoW, but I'm trying to find something interesting to include.

So, uh, here: https://wow.allakhazam.com/wiki/Azuarc%27s_Leveling_Guide_intro

I'll let you decide whether you're rating my guide, leveling guides in general, or the fact that I got to 70 in well under 5 days.
