Yes. Wc3 is still played competitively, believe it or not, but his abilities are never picked. Their abilities were, IIRC:
Soul Burn - dispellable DoT that silences its target.
Incinerate- Casted orb effect on autoattacks that deals stacking damage, with the unit exploding for AoE damage on death.
Summon Lava Spawn - Water Elemental, but shittier and squishier.
Volcano: channel to periodically nuke and stun an area. Frequently just stuns itself to cancel channeling.

Like the Beastmaster, Firelord just sucks at dying to dispels and isnt even tanky to compensate.

Ive been out of the loop for WC3 for a long time now, and my memory is hazy, but I do remember that at one point one meta strat was for humans to use Firelord as a second or maybe third hero after Archmage. I think the idea was to use incinerate and lava spawns to help with sieges in some matchups.
