Topic | About half of voters said support for transgender rights has gone too far |
action52 11/11/24 11:47:01 PM #46: | Here's the thing. Most of the country does think trans people have a right to exist. They just don't want it to be normalized. If you decide to transition and live in an area that's LGBTQ friendly, they're fine with that. But if you want to be a first grade teacher or something, that is absolutely not okay. They also are ignorant about trans issues so they judge issues by their gut (which is influenced by growing up in a transphobic society). They just think what seems obvious based on that and don't want to question it. A trans woman is a man who got his penis chopped off. That's what transitioning means, right? Obviously we can't be letting kids do that. Trabd girls want to to play sports. That's the same thing as being a boy and playing girls' sports, right? Obviously we can't allow that, it's unfair. Trans people need counseling and medical care. That's frivolous surgery and therapy they use to pretend to be a gender they're not, right? Obviously they should have to pay for all of that themselves. I think that the vast majority is like this, or worse. And they don't want to have to change their views. They resent even being made to think about it. So they are much more willing to ally with extreme anti trans people than the ones standing up for their rights. --- man - noun. A miserable pile of secrets. EXAMPLE: What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets. But enough talk, HAVE AT YOU! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
