AVGN has been making videos for about 20 years, but I don't think he really got popular for a few years and reached the height of his popularity in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Nah. Having not heard of him might be like having never heard of the Beatles, but in a mass media world where there is more content than any single human being could hope to watch even across multiple lifetimes, having not seen any specific thing isn't all that meaningful But I have heard of him, and am aware of what he does. Just like I'm aware of the Beatles. Though that might be a better analogy than you realized, because I also hate the Beatles. Damn_Underscore posted... he inspired A LOT of people in various ways.
