I work from home and I vastly prefer it to working in the office. As you say, not having a commute saves so much time. I also like that I can set up my work space exactly how I want it.

It is nice but just make sure you're disciplined enough (I am not) where you can still separate your work life and personal life. Otherwise you can fall into the hellhole where you feel like you can't fully relax in your own home

One thing I do is I have a work space set up that's just a work space. I don't use it for anything else. I live in an apartment so it's not a separate room - just a corner of a room. But there's still that little bit of separation where when I'm working I'm physically in a different spot than when I'm eating dinner or relaxing or whatever.
