Hello and welcome to another ranking!

In this one, Ill be ranking fictional characters again, but instead of assessing their abilities as a friend, Ill be analyzing their visual design. This could include but is not limited to: art style, outfits, hairstyles, faces, color palette, and how much of their personality is conveyed through visual means.

Those of you whove been following along might remember that I ran a topic analyzing Pokmon designs, and then did a separate ranking involving actual series by their design. (The winner of that was Don Herztfeldts World of Tomorrow, if you want any ideas.) This will be a little different because instead of looking at a series as a whole, Ill be looking at one specific character (who doesnt have to be a Pokmon).

Unlike my friend ranking, there will be no specific categories Ill be judging off of. This is because, well, I really dont know what I like in character design! Its not something I think about all that often. I have absolutely no idea what will do well here. I might even develop spontaneous categories as I go along! This will be a fun time/trainwreck in which we go on a journey of self-discovery. Or something. Definitely loosier-goosier than other rankings Ive run, for sure.

Some extra guidelines:
- You get two nominations. Make them count!
- Characters can be from anything drawn: cartoons, anime, comics, that Mystery Skulls music video, you name it. Nothing live-action please. Please identify your characters and where theyre from, as I dont know every character in existence by looking at them.
- Characters must have at least one piece of official art, ideally full body. It would help me if you included a picture of said art with your nomination Ill look up each character on my own, but Ill only focus on the design you present me with. No fanart! Ill also be looking up the characters personality/role in their story to better understand them. Good design doesnt happen in a vacuum, after all. Feel free to post said info about your nominations to make things easier for me.
- If a character needs actual animation (and not a still image) to properly convey their design, please let me know. Edge case but who knows.
- I always have a spooky disclaimer in my topics: nothing too scary or gory. I dont think thatll really come up here, but you never know.
- I will close nominations when I get an adequate number of nominations. If I want more noms, theres a small chance I may give everyone an extra nomination (but dont bank on that).
- Catch-all that I reserve the right to postpone or cancel this if it becomes clinically unfun.
