i think so. i was surprised when i finally got a Costco membership last year as part of comp shopping ingredients and supplies for the mini cheesecake business i was making an attempt at starting up and found that the prices on things i needed weren't any better than Smart & Final, or in a few cases even Aldi and Walmart. when the membership renewal came up earlier this year, i just didn't renew. i spent the entirety of the $50 digital gift card i got for signing up on food court pizza. which was good, tbf.
