Not sure why people just buy in immediately.We grew up in a very strange period where we were always conditioned to assume everything on the internet is a lie and look into it somewhat to give it at least a once over. For various reasons, other gens didn't really need to vet literally every source they come across. Now we have people unable to understand if something is a joke, sarcasm or serious.
