Developers need to back off of graphics and go back to prioritizing gameplay I'd go so far as to say graphics have even stagnated for a full decade despite runaway hardware requirements and budget. Sure, it's got X times as many polygons and Y new engine and yadda yadda but it still looks almost identical. I still love it because I grew up with it and it is indeed home to some of the best games ever made, but PS2, PS3 and GBA are all better. Silver_Ogre posted... Raiden was perfectly serviceable as the protagonist of Metal Gear Solid 2, and this opinion hasn't changed since I played it in 2003. He was exactly the protagonist the game needed.
