I specifically defended a person in a firmly blue state abstaining.

And if you want to go there, theres a strong argument to be made (that I dont think anyone can disagree with) that Bidens win in 2020 demonstrably pushed MAGA to be even more radical and even more evil, which has caused Trump 2.0 to be worse within the first week. So in THAT case, it really was a lose-lose election.
