He obviously had his stunt team, but I think around Rumble in the Bronx and Operation Condor his body was getting legit destroyed.

Yeah I'd say he started transitioning from doing the crazy stunts in the mid to late 90s because his body can't take all the stuff he was doing when he was younger. Obviously Jackie still does a lot of stunts himself, just not the ones where he put his life in danger.

Not to mention the insurance. Stuff like Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon he probably had realistic limits on him so the suits would be happy to not be the film that could potentially be his last. Heck, I read for Rush Hour 2 Chris Tucker thought if Jackie did his own stunts he should do it, too (and I'm not sure how he felt about that in Rush Hour 3, but in any case there really wasn't a bunch of crazy stuff in Rush Hour 2 or 3 anyway)
