Topic	What do people learn in art school?

Do a lot of high tier concert pianists go on to compose? I actually have no idea about this. I figured they just learn a shit ton of theory to make learning the harder stuff easier and more manageable at their skill level. But what do I know, there's like billions of etudes by Liszt and Beethoven and other big shots so that's technically composition.
