if you voted for lies

you still voted for lies

why is it that you want to relieve accountability?

I really hope you didn't vote for this and got fooled
You've got it completely backwards. The one trying to "relieve accountability" here is you. You want to say "well, this is what the American people voted for" so you can justify sitting back and accepting it. "Americans wanted this, so there's no point trying to do anything about it". Maybe you don't even realize that's the message you're sending. I almost wonder if that makes it worse.

What I want is for people to stop just accepting this by telling themselves "it's what the people wanted". I want you to open your eyes and realize: THE REPUBLICAN PARTY ARE LIARS; WHY WOULD YOU EVER TRUST A STORY THAT BENEFITS THEM? Don't just sit back and say "Welp, this is what the people wanted", because it's not what the people wanted, it's what a minority of the people wanted. Even the people who didn't vote didn't do so out of a specific desire for this to happen; if that were the case, they would have voted for Trump.

I don't think you realize how much it hurts morale to keep insisting the enemy outnumbers us. I just hope you're not so obsessed with being technically correct that you forget we're in a crisis. It is not helpful right now to point fingers, and it's certainly not helpful to just throw up our hands. Quite the fucking opposite, in fact.

(By the way, no, I didn't vote for Trump. In the current political climate, the only morally justifiable way for an American to vote is for the democrat.)
