| JustaSandwich 03/23/25 2:18:36 PM #35: | I have a lot of beefs with the Catholic church, as I was raised Catholic and hate a lot of the stuff they drilled into my head, but I wouldn't consider them to be one of the sects of Christianity that oppose science. They support modern medicine and are even okay with things like evolution (and there are more Catholics who are left leaning than most other branches of Christianity: https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2016/02/23/u-s-religious-groups-and-their-political-leanings/ ...hell, Biden is Catholic).
