That's not true. There was a period in the early-to-mid 2000's where both series were getting lots of attention from Nintendo. Hell, F-Zero even got its own anime series, and they did also release F-Zero 99 a couple years ago.

And Nintendo also showed Star Fox a lot of love even into the 2010's, even releasing Star Fox 2 finally and letting the characters appear in the Switch version of Starlink: Battle for Atlantis.

Sadly, they've done nothing with it since.
