You're talking about the court of public opinion. I fully agree it's part of a free country and I have never decried it (unlike every single Trumper and the majority of centrists for the last 10 years). But law requires the legal process. JD can and should argue his point to the courts. Instead he ignores the courts in order to achieve a unitary executive.

Plus, stating lies as fact is not fact finding. There is no iteration or two-way discussion, like there would be in court. It's a top-down dictation. That is indeed worse than past executives.
