The more I think about it, the more I think my dislike for the newer ones makes me like this idea more, because it's not trying to add a new concept to the series like those did, it's taking an already existing concept (cloning dinosaurs) and basically just going "Okay, so what about the times they messed up."

Like, it doesn't require any new "science," any new villain with stupidly questionable motives, etc. It's literally just... They messed up a bunch before they got it right.
Thats pretty much how Im feeling about it. It looks darker and grittier. I know the first movie had a lot of bright tropical scenes, but the World movies feel like they used an iPhone Tropical Island filter and dialed the brightness and saturation to 100%. Kinda took me out of the suspense.
