I'm not sure how much of it was explicitly posted and how much was him filling in blanks (like somebody mentioned their birthday in one topic and then in another topic mentioned their age, so he put those together to get their full date of birth and posted that), but either way I'd still call it doxxing to bring it all together in one place and share it without the person's permission. Sharing personal information gets considerably riskier the more you share at once, and being comfortable sharing each of those pieces of data in separate places over the course of months or even years (with the expectation that everyone involved will likely forget it shortly because they have little individual value) doesn't translate into being comfortable sharing it all in one consolidated file.

I've always been fully aware and of the mind that anything I share online can be collected and recalled at any time and used together, even if unlikely. Especially on the same platform, and especially a message board where no one has anything better to do. I expect it for anything I share so I always keep a mental diary of what I have shared and how it links to what I may share in the future. It's very important practice to have online. Which is why I have no sympathy for anyone who gets "doxxed" with information they willingly disclosed themselves. Like, there's really nothing extra he would have had to do. You can't criminalize someone for "having a good memory".

And again, this isn't to defend Duckbear because it's still fucking creepy to keep archives of everyone with the sole purpose of using it against them. But that's what "journalists" do, isn't it?
