If the last 3 chapters of The Odyssey suddenly pivoted to being Jason and the Argonauts, that would be ludicrous. Because the Odyssey is a long saga about Odysseus' crew, amd not "anybody can go on swashbuckling Greek adventures at sea." This is a great example.
