Anakin bragging before a battle is a bother well established character traits regardless of if he's gonna win or not. He was clearly wrong in the PT, and Obi wan was clearly confident he would win. Hence why he said "ill do what I must" Its all there dude. Lucas Is an unreliable source as ger his tetcons my guy. Oh good, because Disney canon pretty much outright says Palpatine threw Now who's shilling for Disney lmao And no, it doesn't say he threw the fight.
