I think it's pretty insensitive toward actual believers to just handwave away miraculous things as myths just because you don't believe them or understand them. if you've got supernatural powers that are literally as a result of a deity, you're a myth. if your objection was that it's not fiction that's different from what you're saying there; myths don't necessarily need to be fake or made up stories, though they do teach lessons.
