if your objection was that it's not fiction that's different from what you're saying there; myths don't necessarily need to be fake or made up stories, though they do teach lessons.

This is a topic about fictional characters. By voting for one, you're saying it's fictional. The difference between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and something like Greek/Roman mythology is that a large number of people in the former group don't think it's fictional. There's nobody alive today who thinks Greek and Roman mythological stories actually happened.
