Right, I didn't know much about Kimbo but he always stood out to me. The name reminded me of Kimbo Slice. Did something happen to him?

Formerly Snuggletoof, Formerly-formerly TheZoranTunic. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't remember either of those accounts. I never felt like I stood out significantly.

That's why I miss (miss, not like) folks like ICOYAR. That's one of the key differences with these old style message boards, you just couldn't have someone like that become a prominent "personality" on reddit

randomly thinking about ICOYAR was what inspired this topic for me. I agree, the drama admittedly made this place exciting, but I do really like how it's died down. I hate to be like the people who suddenly say nice things about the people they hated after they died, but I sort of feel that way for ICOYAR. Not that I ever "hated" him, but I specifically remember giving in to the "bullying" after I tried to go out of my way to give him benefit of doubt because it always felt slimy the way people treated him. But you know, Susan, the sweetest person on PotD even poked fun at him so sometimes people are asking for it, huh?

Also, I know what you mean, it's more about the recognizable names than me actually knowing much about the person behind them. The examples I mentioned in OP are exceptions though. I never spoke with anyone outside of this place, though.
