Ritz had left the graveyard and saw a young man with white hair and pointy ears wandering aimlessly. Normally, she would be ready to pounce but the vague similarities to her dearly departed Shara gave her pause. "Hi there, I'm Alphinaud. I've lost some of my friends - Ysh'tola and Emet-Selch, if you know them." the young man said. She was charmed by his french-sounding name as she was apparently also born in a french town, despite the FFTA development team's best attempts to destroy the french language.

"Ritz - and no, I don't." she replied. Embers of her conscience flickered - now was not the time for violence. "But you're welcome to accompany me, I've lost a friend too. Perhaps we could throw snowballs together."

They found a field laden with snow, and began target practice. It wasn't long until Shara's words rang through Ritz's mind, "But my hair's white. Did you think worse of me because of it?" She looked over at her new companion. White hair. Pink hair. White hair. Pink hair. White hair! Pink hair! White hair! Pink hair!

She couldn't take the oscillations and flashbacks any more and her vision went black. When she came to, Alphinaud was lying on the ground. Blood soaked the remnants of snowballs that she had evidently thrown at such a velocity that they killed him, despite not being laden with foreign objects.

Or maybe it was just a critzical hit that finished him off. We may never know.
