The original is a masterpiece and the director was making a small game and so they let her do whatever she wanted to. Every single sequel and side-story has been trash. If you like Life Is Strange...well there really isn't much else like it, is there? I'd give "The Lurking Horror" a try--it's an old text-based adventure game (the kind of game on which Life Is Strange is based).
