It really sounds like Adi got too high off of his own success with the Castlevania series and is pretty much acting like a self-important asshole who wants to be "the guy who saved dead franchises." He said in a podcast interview once (joking or serious I couldn't really tell) where he wanted his DMC adaptation to save the franchise and got mad when DMCV got announced and then sold well. I don't even think he was even that involved with Castlevania in the creative process. Shankar's the type of "Producer" who throws a lot of money at stuff for his name on it while not actually contributing anything. Which is kind of what he did with movies like Dredd. DMC is what happens when he actually takes a role. He's just an arrogant dickhead.
